SHOWDOWN… S.E.C. VS. GOLDMAN SACHS… AN EVEN BIGGER STORM?

This could well be the beginning of something very historical. The Security Exchange Commission’s reputation is on the line… the past year they’ve looked very negligent in missing Bernard Madoff’s fraud… and other frauds… and Goldman Sachs reputation is on the line… who is, according to BUSINESSWEEK, “…the most profitable company in Wall Street history.”

“ ‘Adversarial Shot’ at Goldman Sachs Raises Stakes for SEC Unit”

If the SEC convicts… then as some are sent off to jail… and the SEC turns their sights onto other fraud perpetrators… people will start to plea bargain and drop the dime… and tell what they know to stay out of the slammer. These people have no ‘code of silence’ or loyalty to anything other than their narcissistic selves. This could be… the tip of the iceberg.

If Goldman Sachs beats the rap… the SEC will lose what little credibility they have left… and it should become obvious to the average investor that they’ve been playing in a rigged game all along. Like millions of others throughout the world… I have lost a significant amount of money in the stock markets… and I’ll never buy another share of anything until I see convictions, sound regulations, with strict and proven enforcement… and there are millions like me… who will withdraw what money they have left… from this crooked game.

Either way… I don’t see it doing the market any good in the short term… and I still feel that it’s very unstable…

…meanwhile, Mother Earth is stoking the coals of the volcanoes in Iceland… now with some molten lava coming out… and a new ash cloud is spreading.

…the problem with Mother Nature’s events is… there is no big ‘switch’ to turn it off.

…and there is still a lot of anger brewing everywhere,

“BANGKOK — Soldiers in full combat gear garrisoned the Thai capital's central business district Tuesday as thousands of anti-government protesters nearby threatened to disrupt Bangkok with a major rally.”

…all in all …It’s not good …but not as bad I thought it might be. Still… it remains a stressful time throughout the remainder of the month… be alert.
